24/09/2019

After the recent weather, we had to make lot's of changes to the planned route, ride arounds weren't possible in one forest area having many fallen trees with banks off to one side and drop offs on the other. Forestry have cleaned up some, but still a bit of work to go.

At one point we expected to re-use the previous route for day 1, but a bit of stitching together of trails and we've come up with another great ride.

You'll recognise 'some' of the trails from earlier rides, however they're always different in reverse, especially the little breakout section near Milton, going up has a whole different feel, it could be a mild challenge for newer riders on a loaded fatbike. It's by no means nasty, just needs some balance and momentum, or if you're unsure, take the bypass.

Very different to other rides with a few end of trail turn arounds, more dirt and damp forest trails with some sections now graded at a 3, so just up slightly from the 2.5. Again though, nothing nasty is in there.

Saturday Morning, Josh from Nowra Motorcycles is firing up the hotplates and feeding everyone with Bacon and Egg rolls and coffee.

There's some construction work at the dealership beside Nowra Motorcycles, so for parking on Saturday, enter via Quinns Lane and park out the back. See below

If you need anything like a spare tube, helmet visor, gloves, goggles or a set of Barkbusters, give them a call and have it ready to pick up on Saturday morning. Ph: 4422 9681

They've also added a $100 Gift voucher as a lucky draw on Saturday Night.
